About Amuse

Amuse is an ensemble of 8 highly skilled women formed in the fall of 2002 by Lee Ryder. As a small ensemble, Amuse offers singers an opportunity to work in a setting where every voice matters. Everyone’s musical conrtibution — whether in the blend, intonation, entrances, cutoffs, or enunciation — makes a very real contribution to the quality of the performance. It's a big challenge and it has enormous rewards. Beginning in June 2011, we will be working with Robert Isaacs on an ongoing basis. More  >

Auditions

Auditions are held throughout the year as singers ask to be heard. We maintain a roster of singers to draw on for any particular program. If you are interested in auditioning, please read more about how we work and what is expected of singers accepted into the ensemble. More  >

About our Singers

Some of our singers have sung since childhood; some have degrees in music but have chosen to pursue other career directions. You don't need a solo voice to be part of the ensemble, just strong choral singing experience and a willingness to work hard. More  >
